AIMP2 is a great and free player that is growing the same time as VLC does. Being able to play many formats (MP1, MP2, MP3, MPC, MP+, AAC, AC3, OGG, FLAC, APE, WavPack, Speex, WAV, CDA, WMA, S3M, XM, MOD, IT, MO3, MTM, and UMX), works flawlessly and has a great design. Even though the creators are russian, this app is multilingual, and you can easily extend this use with all the plugins they have in order for making it even better.

It has by default many Shoutcast and Icecast servers, you can search and download cover arts for your albums, and the embedded library makes this a pretty nice addition to this series, always Freeware stuff. There are many different skins available (that makes it more friendly, even though this isn’t that needed for a player) and you can make your own skin with the skin editor.
