Old-school, exploration heavy sci-fi FPS Descent will join Nintendo’s WiiWare catalog of downloadable offerings this fall, publisher Interplay announced today.

Originally created by Parallax Software, developer G1M2 is handling the WiiWare version, promising to retain the same classic gameplay that broke new ground in the 3D space 15 years ago with obligatory waggle support added in. Sounds like a winning combination.

“Descent will pair perfectly with the motion sensing Wii Remote controller and we can’t wait to show players how intuitive the game play and control can be,” according to G1M2 founder Scott Hawkins.
