Word has emerged that a pair of Nintendo’s big-hitters on Wii have been delayed. According to a retail source, Sin & Punishment 2 has been pushed back to June 27, while Metroid Other M sees a more significant delay, now listed as “TBD” according to the same source.

Sin & Punishment 2 was originally scheduled to hit shelves on June 6. In all likelihood it is being held back for marketing reasons, considering Mario Galaxy 2 is scheduled to debut in Europe that same week. The shift to TBD for Metroid Other M leaves us wondering, however.

Retailer Wal-Mart has already updated its inventory to reflect a September 1 placeholder date for Metroid Other M specifically. While we can’t vouch for the source, this change certainly lends credence.

Nintendo has yet to comment.
